25th July, at Abbrook Park, Bitton Park beat Honiton then Crediton to progress to the National Finals as Devon Senior Fours Champions

22nd July, Bitton Park beat Paignton at Topsham BC to progress to the National Finals alongside United Services who beat Kings BC.
Huge congratulations to the X team after they beat Starcross, the top of the league!
Hugh Rodway, Keith Dunn and Simon Darcy gained an early lead and never relinquished it, finishing ahead 15-9.
Dave Williamson, Ray O’Brien and Brian Eddy were well behind, but gradually fought back, and on the last end scored a single to draw the match 17-17.
The result gave Bitton Park 7 points with just 1 for Starcross for their drawn game.
Many thanks to Tony Daniel , our non playing captain, for attending every game. What a star!
Club Mixed Triples - New date
The Club Mixed Triples will be played on Saturday 1st August.

Following a successful trial for the Devon junior squad, on Sunday 21 June Owen represented Devon in the White Rose at Culm Vale.
He won in the triples against Gloucester, lost against Somerset and won in the Pairs against Cornwall.
Angie and Maria receiving their certificates for their pairs match Hot Shot on 17 May.
Sharing the green with two Grandsons
23 May against United Services for an away friendly.
Lots of potential on show, I heard somone say the Grandchildren out-bowled Grandad.

The draw for the Men's singles competitions will be held during club night this Friday, 15th May.
Janet will be serving food.
Alongside the games we would also like to "Guess Who?"
and would ask members to post a photo of themselves (with your name on the back), in a sealed envelope, aged no more than 10 years old, in the box in the club.
All photos will be returned.

It's that time of year again.
Please view the club noticeboards for entry forms for next years County Competitions and Nominations for club committees.
There are a few timed slots remaining to bowl against Jim. The list is on the Social Events noticeboard.
There is also a mixed triples match in the afternoon. £15 per team to include a cream tea.
This is limited to 8 Bitton Park teams with the the intention the games will be against teams from other clubs.
The list for team entries is on the mens'/mixed games noticeboard.
Then there's the sweepstake to guess the number of points scored by Jim and a raffle.
Both of these can be found on the table near the desk.
Donations for the raffle are greatly appreciated and there's a box for them on the table.
On the day Jim also hopes to run a trail of donated loose change all around the green.

Almost fifty members attended the Opening Day for the 2025 Season which was held on April 12th.
The Deputy Mayor of Teignmouth Town Council, Councillor Atkinson, officially opened the green and bowled the first wood.
A 15-end game was played and this was followed by a splendid buffet provided by our President, Di Vodden.
Di also provided the prizes for the raffle and spider.
The spider was won by Louis Grierson.
The winners of the game were Jane Sleight, Jean Tetreault, Angela Bucknall and Keith Dunn, with Andrew Dutton, Michelle Bourne and Sue Pook in second place and joint third-place went to Audrey Price, Val Strutt and Eddie Stephenson and Deborah Welland, Maria Owalsky, Barry Sleight and Dave Mercer. 14/4

Andy Davies Trophy
At the Club AGM the Andy Davies Trophy was awarded to Jane & Barry Sleight for their contribution to the running of the Club throughout the year. The trophy was presented by Ann Meyrick. 10/11
